Steward's Report
Omar Parker and Cullquin Morgan collided soon after the start. Omar Parker, Kraken Jane Babe, Argyle Layla and Cullquin Morgan collided approaching the first turn checking Argyle Layla. Bushman's Destiny, Kraken Jane Babe and Omar Parker collided on the first turn checking Omar Parker. Bushman's Destiny and Kraken Jane Babe collided approaching the home turn checking Kraken Jane babe. Kraken Jane Babe and Iron Fist collided approaching the home turn checking Iron Fist. Argyle Layla clipped the heels of Cullquin Morgan on the home turn. Kraken jane Babe marred the running of Bushman's Destiny entering the home straight, in the home straight and approaching the winning post. Argyle Layla, Bushman's Destiny and Kraken Jane Babe collided approaching the winning post.
Bushman's Destiny was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right groin muscle. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.
Argyle Layla was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr. R. Morgan regarding the greyhound Argyle Layla's racing manners approaching the winning post. Mr. Morgan stated that the greyhound was a railer and today was it's first start at Bendigo. Acting on video footage available and Mr. Morgan's evidence, Stewards took no further action.
Kraken Jane Babe was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder joint. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Eyles, the handler of the greyhound Kraken Jane Babe regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Kraken Jane Babe with marring. Mr. Eyles pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Jane Babe was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Smoor regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Omar Parker. Stewards directed that Omar Parker be boxed first in future events.
