Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr B.Klemke, the handler of Shy Diva regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Shy Diva last raced on 22 August, 2017. Mr Klemke stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being on season.
Mr C.Taylor trainer of Kamchatka Lenny declared a new weight of 35.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kamchatka Lenny last raced at 34.4kg.
Destini Exactor was quick to begin. Tinted Blue, Delaware County and Communique collided soon after the start checking Delaware County. Aztec Warrior, Tinted Blue and Communique collided approaching the first turn checking Tinted Blue and Communique. Tinted Blue and Communique on the first turn checking Communique. Destini Exactor and Shy Diva collided approaching the home turn. Tinted Blue and Aztec Warrior collided approaching the home turn checking Tinted Blue. Aztec Warrior clipped the heels of Delaware County on the home turn checking Aztec Warrior. Aztec Warrior and Tinted Blue collided on the home turn. Tinted Blue marred the running of Aztec Warrior entering the home straight. Kamchatka Lenny and Aztec Warrior collided approaching the winning post.
Tinted Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Manning, the trainer of the greyhound Tinted Blue regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Tinted Blue with marring. Mr. Manning pleaded guilty to the charge, Tinted Blue was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
