Bushman's Destiny was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right groin muscle. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Argyle Layla was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr. R. Morgan regarding the greyhound Argyle Layla's racing manners approaching the winning post. Mr. Morgan stated that the greyhound was a railer and today was it's first start at Bendigo. Acting on video footage available and Mr. Morgan's evidence, Stewards took no further action.

Kraken Jane Babe was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder joint. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Eyles, the handler of the greyhound Kraken Jane Babe regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Kraken Jane Babe with marring. Mr. Eyles pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Jane Babe was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Smoor regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Omar Parker.  Stewards directed that Omar Parker be boxed first in future events.

Stewards spoke to Mr B.Klemke, the handler of Shy Diva regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Shy Diva last raced on 22 August, 2017. Mr Klemke stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being on season.

Mr C.Taylor trainer of Kamchatka Lenny declared a new weight of 35.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kamchatka Lenny last raced at 34.4kg.

Destini Exactor was quick to begin. Tinted Blue, Delaware County and Communique collided soon after the start checking Delaware County. Aztec Warrior, Tinted Blue and Communique collided approaching the first turn checking Tinted Blue and Communique. Tinted Blue and Communique on the first turn checking Communique. Destini Exactor and Shy Diva collided approaching the home turn. Tinted Blue and Aztec Warrior collided approaching the home turn checking Tinted Blue. Aztec Warrior clipped the heels of Delaware County on the home turn checking Aztec Warrior. Aztec Warrior and Tinted Blue collided on the home turn. Tinted Blue marred the running of Aztec Warrior entering the home straight. Kamchatka Lenny and Aztec Warrior collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Manning, the trainer of the greyhound Tinted Blue regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Tinted Blue with marring. Destini Lima was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to both groin muscles. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Jenner, the trainer of the greyhound Destini Lima.  Stewards deemed the performance of Destini Lima unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Destini Lima must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. A. Panetta, handler of Destini Galaxy regarding the greyhound's manners in the home straight. Mrs. Panetta stated that this is the usual running action of the greyhound and the greyhound would be returning to the owner. Stewards accepted Mrs. Panetta's explanation and no further action was taken.

Stewards spoke to the kennel representative, Ms. S. Warde, Ms. Warde assured the Stewards the greyhound, French Defence had been checked and had been fine prior to scratching time this morning. Later, when the greyhound was being prepared prior travelling to Bendigo the injury was evident and the greyhound was scratched. French Defence was a late scratching at 12:53pm due to right triangle injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Kraken Bolt was a late scratching at 2:29pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right shoulder joint injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. K. Eyles regarding the greyhound's injury, Mr. Eyles stated that the greyhound was fine when checking it this morning prior to scratching time.

Oshkosh Jay, Scott Finesse, Texas Rising, Crackerjack Blax and Latifi Sam collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Blax and Texas Rising. Latifi Sam and Scott Finesse collided approaching the second turn checking Latifi Sam. Crackerjack Blax and Fred's My Name collided on the second turn. Scott Finesse and Fred's My Name collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms C.Jackson, the trainer of Kamchatka Lass regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Kamchatka Lass last raced on 20 November, 2017. Ms Jackson stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a left metacarpal injury. 

Man Down was slow to begin.

Hey Hey Fozz and Scoota Flash collided soon after the start checking Scoota Flash. Swiftly Swift, Hey Hey Fozz and Kamchatka Lass collided soon after the start checking Kamchatka Lass. Swiftly Swift and Scott Lucky collided on the first turn. Kamchatka Lass faltered on the first turn and lost ground. Swiftly Swift and Scott Lucky collided approaching the home turn checking Scott Lucky which collided with Hey Hey Fozz. Hey Hey Fozz and Man Down collided approaching the home turn checking Man Down. Scoota Flash and Injector collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight checking Scoota Flash.

Kamchatka Lass was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted forty minutes post race, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right groin muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr C.Jackson, the trainer of Kamchatka Lass regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Awesome Freckles trialled over the 425mt from box 8, weight 28.2kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.02, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12L. Awesome Freckles was cleared.
