Steward's Report
Blackpool Remi was quick to begin. Baloney Bill, Southerly and Veil Successor were slow to begin.
Blackpool Remi and Alotta Zulu collided soon after the start. Alotta Zulu checked off the heels of Don Quixote and collided with Southerly soon after the start; Alotta Zulu faltered and lost ground as a result. Alotta Zulu tailed off through the first turn. Blackpool Remi and Baloney Bill collided on the first turn. Blackpool Remi and Mrs. Hardwicke collided on the first turn. Baloney Bill checked off the heels of Blackpool Remi and collided with Mrs. Hardwicke on the first turn. Blackpool Remi shifted out, raced ungenerously and collided with Baloney Bill on the home turn. Blackpool Remi and Baloney Bill raced tightly and collided several times in the home straight.
Blackpool Remi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Wickham, the trainer of the greyhound Blackpool Remi. Stewards deemed the performance of Blackpool Remi unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, directed that Blackpool Remi must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Alotta Zulu was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.
