Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr Thomas Sharp, the trainer of Hawk Forever, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hawk Forever last raced on 4 September 2017. Mr Sharp stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following injuries to both triangle muscles.

A pre-race sample was taken from Jello Allen.

Budva and Speedway Lass were quick to begin. Lil' Miss Willow was slow to begin.

Bluey Can Fly and Jello Allen collided on the first turn. Bluey Can Fly galloped on the heels of Mat's Road on the first turn. Budva and Vee Bee Mate collided on the first turn. Budva and Hawk Forever collided approaching the home turn. Bluey Can Fly checked off the heels of Jello Allen and collided with Mat's Road approaching the home turn. Lil' Miss Willow and Hawk Forever shifted out and raced wide on the home turn. Lil Miss Willow faded in the home straight.

Lil' Miss Willow was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
