Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry regarding the circumstances of the late scratching of Xevra Allen.

Angel's Halo was quick to begin.  Her Hope Chapta was slow to begin.  Kraken Greta, Blue Berty and Stevie Gee collided soon after the start checking Blue Berty.  Clovalley Arnie, Kraken Greta and Quest Allen collided approaching the first turn.  Stevie Gee and Unique Honour collided on the first turn.  Clovalley Arnie, Kraken Greta and Quest Allen collided on the first turn checking Kraken Greta.

Quest Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind toe and injuries to the left monkey muscle and right hip, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

All Inn Houston was slow to begin.  Casanova, Pepper Shannon, Xera Bale and All Inn Houston collided on the first turn, causing Casanova to brush the rail as a result.  Pepper Shannon and Xera Bale collided on the second turn.  Casanova and All Inn Houston collided on the second turn.  She's A Rebel, Pepper Shannon and Xera Bale collided entering the back straight checking Xera Bale.  Pepper Shannon checked off Xera Bale in the home straight.

Due to a technical malfunction the first split was hand timed at 6.72.

Quick Collision and Liscoyle Lass were quick to begin.  Good Golly Wally and Wild Sticks were slow to begin.  All Inn Together, Bolare and Quick Collision collided soon after the start checking All Inn Together and Quick Collision.  Tat Loxy and Quick Collision collided approaching the first turn.

Mister Maker and All Inn Hunter collided soon after the start checking All Inn Hunter.  Better Way and Mister Maker collided soon after the start checking Better Way.  Mister Maker and Semantic Shift collided approaching the first turn checking Semantic Shift and Sweet Strike. Sweet Strike contacted the running rail as a result.  Frosty Tiara and Mister Maker collided entering the home straight.

Sweet Strike was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left thigh injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Lingard, the trainer of Grooven Chris regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Grooven Chris last raced on 5th of  January, 2018 and is returning to racing after an extended spell.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. Martin Hanke, the trainer of Hoo Gur Affair regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Hoo Gur Affair last raced on 3 December, 2017.  Mr. Hanke stated that the greyhound was returning from an injury and declared a new weight of 29.3kg. .Pursuant to GAR 77A, Hoo Gur Affair trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 29.3kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.25, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.75 lengths.  Hoo Gur Affair was Cleared.
