Steward's Report
Cool Coco was quick to begin. Lorenza was very slow to begin (3L).
Reiko Rocketta and My Girl Josiah collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking My Girl Josiah. Joshua Rocks galloped on the heels of Limburg Patrick entering the back straight, checking both greyhounds. My Girl Josiah clipped the heels of Limburg Patrick on the third turn. My Girl Josiah and Limburg Patrick collided approaching the home turn. My Girl Josiah eased on the home turn and collided with Limburg Patrick.
Stewards spoke to Mr John Bosnich, the trainer of the greyhound My Girl Josiah, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. My Girl Josiah was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right sartorius (pencil) muscle, a seven-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged My Girl Josiah with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Bosnich pleaded guilty to the charge, My Girl Josiah was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
