The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes due to Kellerberrin Harness Race 1 running behind schedule.
It's A Danger was quick to begin. Ria Listic Ria was slow to begin.
Ria Listic Ria and Rocket Tears collided soon after the start. Ayo Joy and Sunny's Kayo collided approaching the first turn. Ria Listic Ria checked off Deja Vu Rock on the first turn, checking Ayo Joy, Deliver and Sunny's Kayo, and severely checking Rocket Tears, and Ria Listic Ria which fell as a result. Mel Moral checked off It's A Danger on the first turn. Ayo Joy checked off Sunny's Kayo on the second turn. Sunny's Kayo checked off Mel Moran approaching the home turn. Deja Vu Rock checked off Ayo Joy approaching the home turn. Ayo Joy and Sunny's Kayo collided approaching the home turn. Ayo Joy checked off Sunny's Kayo on the home turn. Deja Vu Rock and Rocket Tears collided on the home turn.
Ria Listic Ria was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) and gluteals (hip) mucles, the right sartorius (pencil) muscle, and both deltoid and trapezius muscles. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.
