Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Farley, the trainer of Falling In Love regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Falling In Love last raced on 6 November 2018 and is returning to racing following a left front sesamoid injury and a change of kennel.
Peaked was quick to begin. Tarquin Bob was slow to begin.
Destiny's Child checked off Peaked on the first turn. Janray Squawker, Final Chimes and Falling In Love collided on the first turn checking Janray Squawker and Tarquin Bob; severely checking Final Chimes and Falling In Love. Final Chimes, Tory's Rocket and Falling In Love collided entering the back straight. Tory's Rocket checked off Falling In Love on the second turn. Janray Squawker raced wide on the second turn.
Janray Squawker was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right groin injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Final Chimes was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
A sample was taken from One More Light - winner of the event.
