Burning Steel went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  All In and Contagious Miss were slow to begin.

Tail Inspector and Promiscuous collided approaching the first turn checking Tail Inspector.  All In galloped on Lightfoot Lass on the first turn checking All in.  Promiscuous checked off All In approaching the home turn causing Promiscuous and Burning Steel to race wide. Contagious Miss and Lightfoot Lass collided approaching the home turn checking Lightfoot Lass.  Hurricane Billie and Just Won Lotto collided several times approaching the home turn checking Just Won Lotto and causing Hurricane Billie to fall; Contagious Miss was severely inconvenienced and lost considerable ground, checking Tail Inspector, Lightfoot Lass and All in. Promiscuous and Burning Steel raced wide as a result of the fallen greyhound.  

Hurricane Billie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

After reviewing all available video footage, Stewards considered that Contagious Miss did not have clear galloping room as Hurricane Bille fell, causing the greyhound to ease to avoid a collision. Given the circumstances, Stewards could not be satisfied on this occassion that a failing to chase charge was appropriate and took no further action on this occasion.
