Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Maireana.
Dorset Dasha was slow to begin.
Maireana and Mia Shan collided soon after the start checking Maireana. Barnie's Bullet crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Remo Gully and Caidan Marlo. Barnie's Bullet eased on the first turn. Evie Louise checked off Unique Spirit on the first turn causing Dorset Dasha and Mia Shan to race wide.
Barnie's Bullet was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr L. Fulford, the handler of the greyhound Barnie's Bullet regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Barnie's Bullet with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Fulford pleaded not guilty to the charge, Barnie's Bullet was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 12 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted.
