Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Two Toes Tony.
Peter's Pride was quick to begin. Kilty Jewel was slow to begin.
No Guarantees and Bomber Lane collided soon after the start. Fallen Star, No Guarantees and Bomber Lane collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Kilty Jewel, Two Toes Tony and Peter's Pride collided on the first turn checking Two Toes Tony and Peter's Pride. Kilty Jewel raced wide on the first turn.
Peter's Pride was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
SATISFACTORY TRIALS:
Hurricane Cindy trialled over the 315m from box 1, weight 26.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.31, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15.5 lengths. Hurricane Cindy was Cleared.
Hurricane Brad trialled over the 315m from box 5, weight 31.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.31, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 22 lengths. Hurricane Brad was Not Cleared.
Mandela Sun trialled over the 315m from box 2, weight 34.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.31, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.75 lengths. Mandel Sun was Cleared and Cleared to race in a right blinker.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Dawn Johnston, the trainer of Alabar regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Alabar last raced on 11 May 2017. Mrs Johnston stated that the greyhound was returning from a right wrist injury and a chance of kennel. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Alabar trialled over the 315m from box 8, weight 33.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.31, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.75 lengths. Alabar was Cleared.
Alabar was vetted following the trial. It was reported that no apparent injury was found.
