Steward's Report
This meeting was declared a hot weather affected meeting. Upon arrival at the track the outside temperature was 30 degrees. As such Stewards dispensed the race meeting requirements as per the GRV hot weather policy.
Mother Monster was quick to begin. Jetyra Buckskin, Drama Club and Pass The Jar were slow to begin. Fantasy Lord and Waltz On Bye collided soon after the start checking Waltz On Bye. Drama Club and Pass The Jar collided approaching the first turn checking Drama Club. Mother Monster and Traveller collided approaching the home turn. Mother Monster failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the home turn. Pass The Jar and Traveller collided approaching the home turn. Drama Club and Terrah Lecki collided on the home turn checking Terrah Lecki.
Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Andrighetto, the trainer of the greyhound Mother Monster regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Mother Monster was vetted and re vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and a torn right hind toenail, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mother Monster with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Andrighetto pleaded guilty to the charge, Mother Monster was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. T. Churchill regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Terrah Lecki. Stewards directed that Terrah Lecki be boxed first in future events.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr.T.Churchill regarding the manner in which he boxed his greyhound in this event.
