Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Ima Rockstar.
Let Him Ride was slow to begin. Pancake checked off Ima Rockstar approaching the first turn. Fess Crockett, Pancake and Let Him Ride collided on the first turn checking Fess Crockett and Pancake. Loaded, Little Dynamo and Inda Way collided on the first turn checking Inda Way. Pancake checked off Let Him Ride approaching the home turn. Pancake and Let Him Ride collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Pancake marred Let Him Ride entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Pancake was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Van Oirschot, the trainer of the greyhound Pancake regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Pancake with marring. Mr. Van Oirschot pleaded guilty to the charge. Pancake was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
