This meeting was declared a hot weather affected meeting. Upon arrival at the track the outside temperature was 30 degrees. As such Stewards dispensed the race meeting requirements as per the GRV hot weather policy.

Mother Monster was quick to begin.  Jetyra Buckskin, Drama Club and Pass The Jar were slow to begin.  Fantasy Lord and Waltz On Bye collided soon after the start checking Waltz On Bye.  Drama Club and Pass The Jar collided approaching the first turn checking Drama Club.  Mother Monster and Traveller collided approaching the home turn.  Mother Monster failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the home turn.  Pass The Jar and Traveller collided approaching the home turn.  Drama Club and Terrah Lecki collided on the home turn checking Terrah Lecki.

Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Andrighetto, the trainer of the greyhound Mother Monster regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Mother Monster was vetted and re vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and a torn right hind toenail, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mother Monster with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Andrighetto pleaded guilty to the charge,  Mother Monster was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. T. Churchill regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Terrah Lecki.  Stewards directed that Terrah Lecki be boxed first in future events.

Urban Shiraz was quick to begin.  Cash Infusion and Velocity Alaina collided soon after the start checking Cash Infusion.  Bye Bye Brad, Lethal Lomar and You Never know collided approaching the first turn checking Lethal Lomar.  Bye Bye Brad, You Never Know and Maclister Mac collided on the first turn severely checking You Never Know and checking Bye Bye Brad and Lethal Lomar.  Cash Infusion checked off Bye Bye Brad approaching the home turn.  Macalister Mac checked off Velocity Whisper on the home turn.  Bye Bye Brad checked off Velocity Alaina on the home turn.  Cash Infusion raced wide entering the home straight.  Bye Bye Brad and Lethal Lomar collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Blue Addiction was slow to begin.  Surgical Wally and Aston Abbott collided soon after the start checking Aston Abbott.  Urban Bourbon checked off Surgical Wally approaching the first turn.  Urban Bourbon and Aston Abbott collided approaching the first turn checking Urban Bourbon.  Our Echo Rose checked off Surgical Wally on the first turn.  Mega Hazel, Dat Dat Daty and Liberty Diamond collided on the first turn checking Dat Dat Daty and severely checking Mega Hazel. Let Him Ride was slow to begin.  Pancake checked off Ima Rockstar approaching the first turn.  Fess Crockett, Pancake and Let Him Ride collided on the first turn checking Fess Crockett and Pancake.  Loaded, Little Dynamo and Inda Way collided on the first turn checking Inda Way.  Pancake checked off Let Him Ride approaching the home turn.  Pancake and Let Him Ride collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Pancake marred Let Him Ride entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Pancake was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Van Oirschot, the trainer of the greyhound Pancake regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Pancake with marring.  Mr. Van Oirschot pleaded guilty to the charge.  Pancake was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lunar Shadow was a late scratching at 18:06pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. C. Colaiacovo was find the sum of $100.

Lunar Shadow was vetted at the request of the trainer Mr. C. Colaiacovo during kennelling and no apparent injury was found.

Our Charlie Rose checked off Lilty Allen approaching the first turn.  Fawn Pursuit checked off Aston Hinkley on the first turn.  Our Charlie Rose and Lilty Allen collided approaching the home turn.  Our Charlie Rose failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the home turn checking Lilty Allen.

Our Charlie Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Mrs. Chignell declined the option to have the dog re vetted.

Chignell, the representative of the greyhound Our Charlie Rose regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Our Charlie Rose with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs Chignell pleaded not guilty to the charge, Our Charlie Rose was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. G. Graham, trainer of Crash Reality declared a new weight of 27.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Crash Reality last raced at 28.6Kgs.

Stewards spoke to, Mr. A. Helleren, the trainer of Flying Elite regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mr. Helleren stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Another Shiner was very slow to begin (6 lengths).  Pinky Tuscadero and Flying Elite collided soon after the start checking Pinky Tuscadero.  Pinky Tuscadero galloped on Flying Elite on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds; Flying Elite stumbled and lost ground as a result.  One Way Ticket and Artistic Alyssa collided approaching the home turn checking Artistic Alyssa.  So Easy raced wide in the home straight.

It's Her Fate, Maybe Hannibal and Buzz Nation were quick to begin.  Ima Logger and Ninetymile Hawk were slow to begin.  Wackadooka and Ninetymile Hawk collided on the first turn.  Maybe Hannibal and Buzz Nation collided on the first turn.  Allen Incent and Ninetymile Hawk collided approaching the home turn.  Ninetymile Hawk and Allen Incent raced wide in the home straight.

Bailey, the trainer of the greyhound Select Opal regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Select Opal was vetted and after being re vetted following the event it was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and a left hind triangle muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Select Opal with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Bailey pleaded guilty to the charge, Select Opal was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
