Steward's Report
Lunar Shadow was a late scratching at 18:06pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. C. Colaiacovo was find the sum of $100.
Lunar Shadow was vetted at the request of the trainer Mr. C. Colaiacovo during kennelling and no apparent injury was found.
A pre-race sample was taken from Our Charlie Rose.
Our Charlie Rose checked off Lilty Allen approaching the first turn. Fawn Pursuit checked off Aston Hinkley on the first turn. Our Charlie Rose and Lilty Allen collided approaching the home turn. Our Charlie Rose failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the home turn checking Lilty Allen.
Our Charlie Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Mrs. Chignell declined the option to have the dog re vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Chignell, the representative of the greyhound Our Charlie Rose regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Our Charlie Rose with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Chignell pleaded not guilty to the charge, Our Charlie Rose was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
