Princess Parker was quick to begin. Big Tilly, Joe Panther and Montana Fernando were slow to begin.
Her Hope Chapta, Daytona Fernando, Newtown Angel and Aston Veloci collided soon after the start checking Newtown Angel and Daytona Fernando. Montana Fernando crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Big Tilly. Joe Panther and Big Tilly collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Montana Fernando crossed wide entering the home straight.
