Kalani Hagen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hock and a right abraded carpal pad, no stand down period was imposed.

Destini Firefox was quick to begin.  Dyna Bella and Deadly Basilisa were slow to begin.

Destini Firefox, Nettie's Flame and Gunmetal Jake collided soon after the start checking Nettie's Flame and Gunmetal Jake.  Nettie's Flame, Gunmetal Jake and Limburg Will collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Nettie's Flame and Gunmetal Jake collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Deadly Basilisa and Dyna Bella collided on the first turn checking Dyna Bella.  Dyna Bella and Jen's Magic collided on the first turn checking Jen's Magic and severely checking Dyna Bella.  Gunmetal Jake and Nettie's Flame collided on the first turn checking Gunmetal Jake.  Gunmetal Jake faltered on the first turn.  Nettie's Flame, Deadly Basilisa and Destini Firefox raced wide on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Formosa, the trainer of the greyhound Gunmetal Jake regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Gunmetal Jake was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Gunmetal Jake with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Gunmetal Jake was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Boney Power was quick to begin.  Neb's Shark was slow to begin.

Al's In Trouble and Miracle Gem collided on the first turn.  Doran's Flame and Five Times Table collided on the first turn checking Doran's Flame, Miracle Gem, First Responder and Neb's Shark.  Boney Power crossed wide entering the home straight checking Al's In Trouble.  Boney Power, Al's In trouble, Doran's Flame, Miracle Gem and First Responder all raced wide in the home straight.

Spotted Opal went up with the lids and lost ground (2 lengths).

Jack's Alouette was quick to begin.  Trew Danger was slow to begin.

Ima Sapphire, Crocodile Dunphy, Miami Fernando and Dorset Dasha collided soon after the start checking Miami Fernando, Dorset Dasha and Crocodile Dunphy.  Jack's Alouette and Goldenpaw Lad collided on the first turn.  Miami Fernando crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Spotted Opal.  Ima Sapphire and Jack's Alouette collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Ima Sapphire and Jack's Alouette collided approaching the home turn checking Jack's Alouette and Miami Fernando.

Crocodile Dunphy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right dew claw injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was take from Bakali Louis.

Fairly Legal and Miss Payne collided soon after the start checking Miss Payne.  Fairly Legal and Dyna Diedre collided approaching the first turn checking Fairly Legal.  Miss Payne crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and lost ground.  Bakali Louis and No More Sisco collided on the first turn.

Miss Payne was vetted following the event after suffering interference in pursuit of the finish on lure.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor swelling over left lumbo-sacral muscle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Karaoke Ken and Crackerjack Jim collided approaching the first turn checking Karaoke Ken.  Big Bold Boomer crossed to rail on the first turn checking Karaoke Ken.  Dazzling Liesel and Fonty Allen collided on the first turn.

Cavalry Rose was a late scratching at 12:41pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Little Women was a late scratching at 2:07pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to split webbing. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Destini Echo and Tallinn Power collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  White Bandit, Tallinn Power and Onya Grover collided soon after the start.  White Bandit faltered on the first turn.  Destini Echo and Tallinn Power collided on the first turn.  Chrissy Pee and Zenstar collided approaching the home turn.  

White Bandit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations to the left foreleg and right hind leg and a right back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Zebo Bale was a late scratching at 2:19pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to Pyrexia (Elevated Temperature).  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Lady Isabella was slow to begin.

Arlecchino, Took My Money and Dyna Lenae collided soon after the start checking Took My Money and Dyna Lenae.  Cawbourne Mav galloped on Pandora's Galaxy on the first turn.

Miss A. Courts the representative of Mask declared a new weight of 32.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mask last race at 34kg.

Jesterday, Rocket Riley and Tricky Tron collided soon after the start checking Tricky Tron and Rocket Riley.  Mrs. Jawa and Snapchat Queen collided soon after the start.  Rocket Riley and Standing Bear collided on the first turn checking Rocket Riley.  Kilty Jewel, Snapchat Queen and Mrs. Jawa collided on the first turn.  Standing Bear and Tricky Tron collided approaching the home turn checking Tricky Tron.  Kilty Jewel and Rocket Riley raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms D. Colemen, the trainer of Acrostar regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Acrostar last raced on 12 October 2017. Ms Coleman stated that the greyhound was returning from a right hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Acrostar trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 33.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.95, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 lengths.  Acrostar was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - (Cramp trial) Dum Didee Dum trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3, weight 30.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.95, the greyhound won by a margin of 1 3/4 lengths. Dum Didee Dum was Cleared.
