Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr G Bahen, the trainer of Bullocky Bill, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bullocky Bill last raced at Healesville on 8 October, 2017. Mr Bahen stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following toe injuries.
Stewards spoke to Mr David Condon (repesenting Trainer - J Condon), regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Spritely Pizazz last raced at Cranbourne on 11 October, 2017. Mr Condon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal condition.
Stewards spoke to Mr R Galea (representing trainer - J Galea) regarding today's weight for Karise Fusileer after the greyhound presented down 1kg. Stewards directed a full veterinary examination of Seven Two and was passed fit for racing by the GRV Veterinary Officer. Mr Galea stated that it was the trainer's intention to take weight off the greyhound. Stewards noted the explanation.
Take The Spot went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Sun Choice crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Shake The Night. Sun Choice and Samba King collided approaching the 250m mark. Sun Choice and Take The Spot collided at the 200m mark, checking Sun Choice. Shake The Night and Spritely Pizazz collided several times at the 150m mark. Shake The Night checked off Spritely Pizazz approaching the 100m mark. Bullocky Bill and Sun Choice collided approaching the winning post.
