A pre-race sample was taken from Dee Final Siren upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Dee Final Siren and Junior Pandora were slow to begin.
Wilbur Leone and Macfid Magic collided soon after the start. Puppet You Rippa and Spider Regis collided approaching the first turn. Spider Regis and Macfid Magic collided on the first turn. Dee Final Siren and Junior Pandora collided on the first turn. Kurtis Pandora checked off Puppet You Rippa on the second turn. Junior Pandora, Dee Final Siren and Spider Regis collided on the third turn. Macfid Magic galloped on the heels of Dee Final Siren on the third turn.
Macfid Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right sartorius (pencil) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
