Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Loch Mac upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Rippa Regis was slow to begin.
Whiz checked off Loch Mac approaching the first turn. Rosie Glenda and Whiz collided on the first turn. Miss Peanut and Pat Malone collided entering the home straight. Rippa Regis and Blue Regis collided in the home straight. Rosie Glenda turned it's head outwards in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Ms Korie-Lee Heinrich, the kennel representative for the greyhound Rosie Glenda, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Rosie Glenda was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to to both shoulder muscles and soreness in the right shin; a seven-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Rosie Glenda with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Heinrich pleaded guilty to the charge, Rosie Glenda was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
