Steward's Report
Showin' Attitude was quick to begin. Primrose Diamond was slow to begin. Giroud and Omega Bonner collided approaching the first turn checking Omega Bonner and severely checking Giroud and Primrose Diamond. Giroud and Primrose Diamond collided on the first turn checking Giroud. Mandela Sun and About To Cry collided approaching the home turn. Mandela Sun marred Showin' Attitude approaching the winning post.
Mandela Sun was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hock. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Pollutro, the trainer of the greyhound Mandela Sun regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Mandela Sun with marring. Mr. Pollutro pleaded not guilty to the charge, Mandela Sun was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
