Steward's Report
Out of Competition Samples were taken from Zinzan Brooke, Lucky Chap, Kouta Mayhem and Ando's Mac engaged in this event, and Judicial Man (reserve not required) on 5 September 2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Peter Galo and Lucky Chap were slow to begin. Lucky Chap checked off Our Real Deal soon after the start. Our Real Deal and Kouta Mayhem collided at the 300m mark. Aston Dee Bee and Zinzan Brooke collided approaching the 250m mark. Peter Galo and Kouta Mayhem collided at the 250m mark, checking both greyhounds. Kouta Mayhem checked off Burn Like Fire at the 200m mark. Aston Dee Bee checked off Zinzan Brooke at the 200m mark and crossed to the outside, colliding with Ando's Mac as a result.
Lucky Chap was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 10 it was reported that the greyhound sustained injured left and right monkey muscles and left radius, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Samples were taken from the placegetters of the event - Zinzan Brooke (1st), Aston Dee Bee (2nd) and Burn Like Fire (3rd).
