Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to D Jensen, the kennel representative for Skyrim, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Skyrim last raced on 29 June 2017 and is returning after a spell. Mr Jensen also declared a new weight of 34.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Skyrim last raced at 33.0kg.
This event was delayed by approximately one and a half minutes due to Murwillumbah running late.
Turfman checked off Sun Choice at the 150m mark. Silver Wood, Paddy's Midnight and Blucifer collided at the 150m mark. Silver Wood and Blucifer collided at the 100m mark. Riverina Miss and Blucifer collided at the 50m mark.
Post race urine and blood samples were taken from Sun Choice, the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr David Schwarz and issued him with a severe reprimand after he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to prepare the greyhound Skyrim for racing pursuant to GAR 46(1).
