Steward's Report
Noonbarra Storm, Gotta Be Better and Shooter's Odysey were slow to begin.
Shooter's Odysey crossed to the outside soon after the start. Captain Universe and Spot My Key collided at the 250m mark. Noonbarra Storm marred Mt. View Gift at the 200m mark, checking Fawntastic Kate and Mt. View Gift, and severely checking Spot My Key and Captain Universe. Noonbarra Storm and Fawntastic Kate collided approaching the winning post.
Noonbarra Storm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Turner, the trainer of the greyhound Noonbarra Storm, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 200m mark. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Noonbarra Storm with marring. Mr Turner pleaded guilty to the charge, Noonbarra Storm was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
