Levator Scapulae was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left stifle fracture and a left gracilis (back) muscle injury, and was humanely euthanased.

Post race urine and blood samples were taken from Crime Minister, the winner of the event.

Mr. L. Mottram, kennel representative for Oshkosh Gypsy declared a new weight of 26.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Oshkosh Gypsy last raced at 25.8kg.

Mister Pickles and Buzz The Tower were slow to begin.

Porscha's Girl crossed to the outside at the 200m mark and collided with Eggeb Mai. Shady Apple lost ground at the 200m mark. Mister Pickles and Shady Apple collided at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark, checking both greyhounds. Fernando's Jewel and Destini Duchess collided at the 100m mark, checking Destini Duchess. Porscha's Girl and Eggeb Mai collided approaching the winning post, checking both greyhound.

Mister Pickles was vetted and revetted following race six. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left sesamoid and right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Douglas Burge, the trainer of the greyhound Mister Pickles. Stewards deemed the performance of Mister Pickles unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, directed that Mister Pickles must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Shady Apple was vetted and revetted following race six. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left gracilis (back) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr N Carthew, the kennel representative for the greyhound Shady Apple. Stewards deemed the performance of Shady Apple unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, directed that Shady Apple must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Eggeb Mai was vetted following the event.. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing on the left front foot. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

Bye Bye Boy and Newfire Chelle were slow to begin.

Noonbarra Storm, Gotta Be Better and Shooter's Odysey were slow to begin.

Shooter's Odysey crossed to the outside soon after the start. Captain Universe and Spot My Key collided at the 250m mark. Noonbarra Storm marred Mt. View Gift at the 200m mark, checking Fawntastic Kate and Mt. View Gift, and severely checking Spot My Key and Captain Universe. Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Turner, the trainer of the greyhound Noonbarra Storm, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 200m mark. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Noonbarra Storm with marring. Mr Turner pleaded guilty to the charge, Noonbarra Storm was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Acting on a confirmed telephone call from Trainer Ms Debra Winter, Rooey was a late scratching at 10:17pm due to a car break-down. A ten-day stand down period was imposed, this penalty is subject to be removed upon proof of break down.

Rock It Ronny and Running Yards were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to D Jensen, the kennel representative for Skyrim, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Skyrim last raced on 29 June 2017 and is returning after a spell. Mr Jensen also declared a new weight of 34.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Skyrim last raced at 33.0kg.

This event was delayed by approximately one and a half minutes due to Murwillumbah running late.
