Burning House was a late scratching at 12:53pm due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Jimmy Got Style was slow to begin. Militant Chief and Cardamom collided approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Sam, King Fipa, Glitterbug, Militant Chief and Cardamom collided on the first turn. Jimmy Got Style and Militant Chief collided approaching the second turn checking Militant Chief. Crackerjack Sam, Glitterbug and Cardamom collided on the second turn severely checking Crackerjack Sam and Glitterbug and causing Militant Chief to fall. Cardamom and Jimmy Got Style collided on the home turn.
Militant Chief was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right fore paw. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
