Avatar Sparkle was very slow to begin (5L) and took no competitive part in the event. Destini Trucker and All Inn Guning were slow to begin. Good Golly Wally and Sweet Mary collided approaching the first turn checking Good Golly Wally. Good Golly Wally and Sweet Mary collided on the first turn. Good Golly Wally crossed to the outside approaching the home turn checking Sweet Mary and All Inn Guning. Greysynd Hitman and Mrs. Erm collided approaching the home turn checking Greysynd Hitman. Greysynd Hitman and Scarlet's Secret collided on the home turn.

Avatar Sparkle was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms. S. Elmes, the trainer of the greyhound Avatar Sparkle.  Stewards deemed the performance of Avatar Sparkle unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Avatar Sparkle must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Izzy Kymtony, Eketahuna and Hawk Forever collided entering the back straight checking Hawk Forever. Good Luck Mick raced wide in the back straight. Blue Marmion was quick to begin. Cullquin Nikki and Magic Innings collided soon after the start. Cullquin Nikki, Magic Innings and Jaycee Plumb collide on the first turn. Jaycee Plumb Bert's Special collided on the first turn checking Bert's Special. Jack's Pick and Blue Marmion collided on the second turn. Magic Innings checked off Cullquin Nikki on the home turn.

Militant Chief was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right fore paw. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Taltarni Shiraz, Razzle Oak and Cass' Cass collided approaching the first turn checking Taltarni Shiraz which collided with Showtime Chevi. Showtime Chevi and Taltarni Shiraz collided on the first turn severely checking Taltarni Shiraz. Cass' Cass and Groucho collided approaching the home turn. Atlas Roughead and Logistic Kid collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Atlas Roughead.

Taltarni Shiraz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing left fore foot. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr P.Ellis, the trainer of Pepper Shiraz regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Pepper Shiraz last raced on 12th January 2017. Mr Ellis stated that the greyhound was resuming from being on season. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Pepper Shiraz trialled over the 425m from box 1, weight 27.6kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.95, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.25L. Pepper Shiraz was cleared.
