A pre race sample was taken from Wild Oscar. Wild Oscar and Crackerjack Ale were slow to begin. Kraken Elroy and Proud Phoenix collided soon after the start. Blue Odessa, Tiger Cabang and Proud Phoenix collided approaching the first turn checking Tiger Cabang which collided with Kraken Eleroy. Zoenah's Legacy and Crackerjack Ale collided approaching the home turn. Tiger Cabang and Zoenah's Legacy collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Tarkedia Spring raced wide approaching the home turn.
