A pre-race sample was taken from Bear Magic.
Bear Magic was quick to begin.
Harvey Leigh and Blackalls Lad collided soon after the start. Rock Me Baby, Harvey Leigh, Blackalls Lad and Bear Magic collided at the 250m mark, checking Harvey Leigh and Blackalls Lad.
MEETING COMMENTS
Stewards were advised by track curator Mr B Mulligan that the track was lightly harrowed and graded on Monday 17 July 2017.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr David Jensen, the representative of Superior Zoe, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Superior Zoe last raced on 8th January 2017. Mr Jensen stated that Superior Zoe had been spelling. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Superior Zoe trialled over the 300m from box one, weight 28.8kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 16.96, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.75L. Superior Zoe was cleared.
