Premier Back was a late scratching at 8:40am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr B.Merton was fined the sum of $100.

Run Tom Run and Golden Aura were slow to begin. Alex The Seal and Penske Goddess collided approaching the first turn, checking Whizrene. Alex The Seal and Penske Goddess collided on the first turn, checking Run Tom Run and Alex The Seal. Whizrene galloped on the heels Penske Goddess on the home turn. Penske Goddess and Whizrene collided entering the home straight. Penske Goddess marred the running of Whizrene in the home straight. 

Penske Goddess was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left fibula and both stifles. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr R.Henness, the trainer of the greyhound Penske Goddess regarding the greyhounds racing manners in home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Penske Goddess with marring. Mr Henness pleaded guilty to the charge, Penske Goddess was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Run It Straight was slow to begin. Arachnophobia, Senor Sensation and Kid Ringo collided on the first turn. Run It Straight checked off Markinch Maid approaching the home turn. 

Stewards spoke to Mr S.Melville, the trainer of Chew Boy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Chew Boy last raced on 31 March, 2017. Mr Melville stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a injury to both monkey muscles.

Stewards spoke to Mr B.Merton, the trainer of Slow As Thunder regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Slow As Thunder last raced on 25 March, 2017. Mr Merton stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being new to the kennel.

Ishmy Baby and You Bandit collided soon after the start, severely checking Ishmy Baby. Chew Boy checked off You Bandit on the first turn, checking Chew Boy, Avatar Zorro and Slow As Thunder. 

Ishmy Baby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Trish's Delight was a late scratching at 8:53am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr P.Clark was fined the sum of $100.

You Blonde was quick to begin. Alabama Lane checked off Mustang Moo on the first turn. Mustang Moo checked off Alabama Lane entering the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Ms P.Triaca, the trainer of Farah regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Farah last raced on 24 January, 2017. Ms Triaca stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell. Ms Triaca declared a new weight of 26.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Farah last raced at 27.6kg.

Just Nimble It was slow to begin. She's Quite checked off Just Nimble It on the first turn. 

Panther Lane and Salvarotti were slow to begin. Parish Power and Little Barci collided on the first turn, checking Little Barci. Little Barci and Salvarotti collided approaching the home turn, checking Little Barci.

Brutal Lomar, Little Sidey and Far Clif Dyno were slow to begin. Far Clif Dyno and Pure Cascade collided on the first turn, checking Far Clif Dyno. Little Sidey raced wide in the home straight.

Steward’s issued a severe reprimand to Mr C.Glen, trainer of Batik Print in that he made contact with the rear of the boxes after boxing the greyhound pursuant GAR 51 (10)(c).

Serendipity Gold was slow to begin. Babs Streishound and Mary Lomar collided on the first turn, checking Babs Streishound. Mary Lomar checked off Boney Power approaching the home turn. Babs Streishound and Mary Lomar collided on the home turn. Serendipity Gold raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.
