Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr S.Melville, the trainer of Chew Boy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Chew Boy last raced on 31 March, 2017. Mr Melville stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a injury to both monkey muscles.
Stewards spoke to Mr B.Merton, the trainer of Slow As Thunder regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Slow As Thunder last raced on 25 March, 2017. Mr Merton stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being new to the kennel.
Ishmy Baby and You Bandit collided soon after the start, severely checking Ishmy Baby. Chew Boy checked off You Bandit on the first turn, checking Chew Boy, Avatar Zorro and Slow As Thunder.
Ishmy Baby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
