Soda Man and Lunar Eclipse collided soon after the start. Mincin' Machine crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Fleetwood Zac. Dalgetty, Dawkins Bale, Soda Man and Lunar Eclipse collided on the first turn, severely checking Soda Man and Hercules Bale, causing Lunar Eclipse to stumble and Dawkins Bale fell as a result. Dalgetty and Mincin' Machine collided on the third turn.
Dawkins Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left foreleg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
