Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Judge Ms E.Fothergill did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Lovey stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin. Louisiana Lil and Lovey collided soon after the start. Cosmic Spur checked off Same Day soon after the start and collided with Lovey. All Inn Together raced wide approaching the first turn. Agility crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Cosmic Spur, Shiny Lad and Lovey. Cosmic Spur, Shiny Lad and Louisiana Lil collided approaching the first turn. Cosmic Spur and All Inn Together collided on the first turn. Jalapeno Flash checked off Same Day on the first turn. Shiny Lad and Jalapeno Flash collided approaching the home turn. All Inn Together and Cosmic Spur collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight. Jalapeno Flash checked off Same Day in the home straight.
Lovey was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle and spike wounds to the left fore paw, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Meeting Comments:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Hamilton, the trainer of Brahma's Pride regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Brahma's Pride last raced on 12th September, 2015. Mr. Hamilton stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Brahma's Pride trialled over the 390m from box two, weight 28.8kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.76, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.75 lengths. Brahma's Pride was Cleared.
