Steward's Report

Omamori was quick to begin. Emi's Boy Badger, Milwalcar and Gold Compass collided soon after the start, checking Milwalcar and Emi's Boy Badger. Ninth Brigade and Tat Minnie collided soon after the start, checking Tat Minnie and Tophat And Tails. Ninth Brigade galloped on the heels of Gold Compass approaching the first turn and stumbled as a result. Ninth Brigade and Omamori collided approaching the first turn, checking Omamori and Tophat And Tails. Tat Minnie and Milwalcar collided approaching the first turn. Tophat And Tails, Milwalcar and Emi's Boy Badger collided on the first turn, severely checking Omamori. Tat Minnie and Milwalcar collided entering the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Ninth Brigade - the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. S Baldwin, lure driver regarding the positioning of the lure appraoching the home turn and in the home straight. Mr. Baldwin stated that he believed the greyhound positioned in 2nd place was gaining ground on the leader quicker than it was, which resulted in Mr. Baldwin anticipating the lure position prematurely. Stewards noted Mr. Baldwin's explanation and took no further action.
