Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr S.Daniliuk, the trainer of Break The Code regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Break The Code last raced on 6th January, 2016 and is returning to racing after sustaining an injury to the right front flexor tendon.
My Renson was slow to begin. Break The Code was quick to begin. Zuletta and Cape Cruiser collided soon after the start, checking Zuletta. Magical Bling and True Value collided soon after the start, checking Magical Bling. Zuletta and My Renson collided approaching the first turn, checking Zuletta. My Renson, Cape Cruiser, Our Luck, Neon Moon and True Value collided on the first turn, checking Neon Moon, and severely checking Our Luck. Zuletta and Magical Bling collided on the first turn. True Value, Neon Moon, Cape Cruiser and My Renson collided on the first turn, checking Neon Moon. My Renson checked off Cape Cruiser on the first turn, causing Cape Cruiser and Neon Moon to collide. Neon Moon galloped on the heels of Cape Cruiser approaching the home turn, severely checking Neon Moon.
Neon Moon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left back leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
