Bel Air Mist was a late scratching at 6:38pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr G.Rounds was fined the sum of $100.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Firebomb a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Roll 'Em Sharky was quick to begin. Casanova was slow to begin. Soda Street checked off Acey Boy approaching the first turn. Roll 'Em Sharky, Firebomb and Soda Street collided approaching the first turn, checking Firebomb. Soda Street, Roll 'Em Sharky, Pay The Boo and Warbo collided approaching the first turn, checking Warbo, and severely checking Roll 'Em Sharky. Roll 'Em Sharky and Firebomb collided on the first turn. Soda Street and Pay The Boo collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Warbo and Roll 'Em Sharky collided several times in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
Acey Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
