Lektra Mick was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn left nail. No stand down period was imposed. 

A sample was taken from the first and second placegetters - Ocean Bay (1st) and Perfect Rider (2nd).

Claretown Ace and Brandeen Chief were slow to begin.

Claretown Ace, Brandeen Chief and Padma Patil collided approaching the first turn checking Padma Patil and Brandeen Chief. Alyssa's Girl and Padma Patil collided on the first turn severely checking Brandeen Chief, Sacred Shield and Padma Patil, Padma Patil fell as a result. Brandeen Chief raced wide in the home straight. 

Brandeen Chief which fell after the winning post was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained  fractures to the right foreleg and the right scapula and was humanely euthanised. 

Padma Patil was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Sacred Shield was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury. 

Samples were taken from the first and second placegetters - Hone In (1st) and Son Of Iron (2nd). 

Stewards spoke to Mr M. Cahill, the trainer of Munster regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Munster last raced on 19th December, 2015. Mr. Cahill stated that the greyhound was returning from a season.

Munster was slow to begin. 

Menindee and Running Spot collided soon after the start checking Menindee. Loosey Jabna checked off Running Spot approaching the first turn checking Dynamic Couldron. Receptive and Mudslinger collided approaching the home turn checking Receptive and Mudslinger and severely checking Running Spot. Loosey Jabna and Running Spot collided on the home turn checking Loosey Jabna. Loosey Jabna checked off Munster in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Johnson, the trainer of Snow Boots regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Snow Boots last raced on 17th December, 2015.  Mr. Johnson stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell.

Argyle Lucifer was slow to begin.

Lloyd Christmas, Interlaken, Matt Machine, Sinister Strike and Delcorn Potts collided soon after the start checking Matt Machine, Lloyd Christmas and Sinister Strike. Interlaken, Delcorn Potts and Snow Boots collided approaching the first turn checking Delcorn Potts. Lloyd Christmas and Matt Machine collided approaching the first turn. Snow Boots eased on the first turn severely checking Sinister Strike. Lloyd Christmas checked off Matt Machine approaching the home turn. Interlaken and Matt Machine collided approaching the home turn.

Sinster Strike was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Snow Boots was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury. Mr L Johnson, trainer of Snow Boots, declined to have the greyhound re-vetted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr L Johnson, the trainer of the greyhound Snow Boots regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Snow Boots with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Johnson  pleaded guilty to the charge, Snow Boots was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr A Steele, the trainer of Feikuai Polly regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Feikuai Polly last raced on 16 December 2015. Mr Steele stated that the greyhound was recovering from a back muscle injury.

Revision was quick to begin. Feikuai Polly was slow to begin.

Feikuai Polly was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Run Right Back and Nessa Shim collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Zipping Chubbz clipped the heels of Caco Potion entering the back straight. Caco Potion crossed to the outside in the back straight checking Edge Of Eden. Run Right Back, Nessa Shim and Caco Potion collided on the second turn checking Run Right Back and Nessa Shim. Edge Of Eden checked off Caco Potion approaching the home turn checking Run Right Back and Nessa Shim. Run Right Back and Nessa Shim collided entering the home straight. Caco Potion raced wide in the home straight. 

Margins, Dyna Krypto and Filius Flitwick were slow to begin.

Allen Zhara and Gawker Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Allen Zhara. Dyna Krypto checked off Nila Bale on the first turn. Pop Wright checked off Margins in the home straight.

Back Road and Nitro Deception collided approaching the first turn checking Nitro Deception. Benny Mac and Lady Lurcher collided entering the back straight severely checking Nitro Deception and Aston Gaudi, Nitro Deception fell as a result. Lady Lurcher checked off Back Road approaching the second turn. Lady Lurcher checked off Back Road in the home straight checking Benny Mac. 

Nitro Deception was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury. 

Aston Gaudi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhounnd sustained a fractured right toe. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Running Yards and Ripstick Ella were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Running Yards checked off Ripstick Ella approaching the first turn. Thumb Print checked off Dyna Peanut on the first turn. Lektra Danger and Thumb Print collided approaching the home turn checking Thumb Print. Running Yards raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Last Action Hero - winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Mr P Griffen, the trainer of Claretown Sam regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Claretown Sam last raced on 27 November 2015. Mr Griffen stated that the greyhound was returning from a left monkey muscle injury. 

A pre race sample was taken from Wilma's Thunder. 

Claretown Sam and Lektra Elusive were slow to begin. 

Who's Driving and Baron Lad collided soon after the start. Taz's Man and Lektra Elusive collided on the first turn checking Taz's Man. Wilma's Thunder and Taz's Man collided approaching the home turn checking Wilma's Thunder. Claretown Sam checked off Wilma's Thunder on the home turn and raced wide as a result.
