A pre-race sample was taken from Kev's Choice.
Baby Tenby and Moe Magic were quick to begin. Kev's Choice and Soda Blast collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Soda Blast, Arvo's Steva and Bellini Martini. Order In Line was checked off Bellini Martini on the first turn. Pope Zone, Baby Tenby and Moe Magic collided on the first turn checking Pope Zone. Pope Zone was checked off Baby Tenby entering the back straight. Pope Zone and Baby Tenby collided approaching the second turn checking Baby Tenby. Baby Tenby was checked off Kev's Choice on the second turn causing Baby Tenby to lose ground checking Bellini Martini as a result.
Baby Tenby was vetted following the event, it was reported that the greyhound was found to have diaphragmatic flutter (thumps), no stand down period was imposed.
