Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Derby Thyme, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Bernadeen and Dr. Dynomite were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Jetmag Pie and Lady Jacinta collided soon after the start checking Jetmag Pie. Jetmag Pie eased approaching the first turn. Hurricane Craig, Derby Thyme and Emilia Cash collided on the first turn checking Dr. Dynomite, Hurricane Craig, Derby Thyme, Emilia Cash and Lady Jacinta. Jetmag Pie was checked off Lady Jacinta on the first turn and raced wide. Bernadeen was checked off Lady Jacinta on the first turn. Dr. Dynomite and Emilia Cash collided approaching the home turn. Bernadeen, Derby Thyme and Jetmag Pie collided approaching the home turn. Jetmag Pie raced wide on the home turn. Hurricane Craig and Emilia Cash collided entering the home straight.
Jetmag Pie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent. Representative Ms. N. Lund declined her option of a re-vet.
Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Lund the representative of the greyhound Jetmag Pie regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Jetmag Pie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Lund pleaded guilty to the charge, Jetmag Pie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
