Agent Barry and Our Delta Rose collided soon after the start. Okawa In Black and Terpillar collided approaching the first turn checking Okawa In Black. Okawa In Black checked off Terpillar on the first turn checking Sharp Diamond. Terpillar and Buzz Rash collided on the first turn. Sharp Diamond checked off Buzz Rash on the first turn checking Isabella Girl, Our Delta Rose and Buzz Rash. Okawa In Black and Buzz Rash collided approaching the second turn checking Buzz Rash. Agent Barry, Sharp Diamond and Buzz Rash collided entering the back straight checking Sharp Diamond, Buzz Rash and Isabella Girl. Okawa In Black and Terpillar collided entering the home straight. Okawa In Black failed to pursue the lure in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Tilley, the trainer of the greyhound Okawa In Black regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Okawa In Black was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Okawa In Black with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Tilley pleaded not guilty to the charge, Okawa In Black was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
