Steward's Report
Dr. Bodacious and Ripple Eff Ex were slow to begin. Nitro Hook checked off Le Doyen on the first turn. Le Doyen, Flywheel Magic and Walt's Star collided entering the back straight checking Walt's Star. Nitro Hook checked off Walt's Star on the second turn. Ripple Eff Ex failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post and collided with Le Doyen.
Ripple Eff Ex was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. McIntyre, the trainer of Ripple Eff Ex regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Ripple Eff Ex with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. McIntyre pleaded guilty to the charge, Ripple Eff Ex was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
