Steward's Report

McIvor Patsy, Go Close and Black Sass were slow to begin.

Dry Argument crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Call Me Loulou, Vanity Affair, McIvor Patsy and Go Close. Call Me Loulou faltered entering the back straight checking Go Close and McIvor Patsy, Call Me Loulou pulled up as a result. Boomer Hargen, Dry Argument and Black Sass collided approaching the second turn checking Black Sass. Boomer Hargen checked off Dry Argument on the second turn. Boomer Hargen marred the running of Dry Argument on the home turn and several times in the home straight checking Dry Argument.

A sample was taken from Leon's Wish - the winner of the event.

Call Me Loulou was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Boomer Hargen was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

McIvor Patsy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained and injury to the left wrist and abrassions to both front paws, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Capuano, the trainer of the greyhound Boomer Hargen regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Boomer Hargen with marring. Mr. Capuan pleaded guilty to the charge, Booomer Hargen was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
