Thera Cee checked off Jai Jai Away on the home turn checking Bush Dancer. Al's San Bow and Thera Cee collided on the home turn checking Merl's Blaze and Bush Dancer. Merl's Blaze and Longshot Glory raced wide in the home straight.

Dry Argument crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Call Me Loulou, Vanity Affair, McIvor Patsy and Go Close. Call Me Loulou faltered entering the back straight checking Go Close and McIvor Patsy, Call Me Loulou pulled up as a result. Boomer Hargen, Dry Argument and Black Sass collided approaching the second turn checking Black Sass. Boomer Hargen checked off Dry Argument on the second turn. Boomer Hargen marred the running of Dry Argument on the home turn and several times in the home straight checking Dry Argument.

Call Me Loulou was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

McIvor Patsy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained and injury to the left wrist and abrassions to both front paws, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Capuano, the trainer of the greyhound Boomer Hargen regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Boomer Hargen with marring. Mr. Capuan pleaded guilty to the charge, Booomer Hargen was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Furious Fear eased approaching the home turn and collided with Toby's Taxi, checking Toby's Taxi. Nicky Jo galloped on the heels of Darley Dollar approaching the home turn checking Darley Dollar, Toby's Taxi and Miss Skye High. Slipaway Whitey checked off Coringel Ebony on the home turn. Furious Fear eased on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Coringel Ebony and Slipaway Whitey. Furious Fear checked off Nicky Jo in the home straight, checking Don One and Toby's Taxi. Furious Fear and Nicky Jo collided approaching the winning post.

Furious Fear was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left infra spinatus and deltoid, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Punshon, the handler of the greyhound Furious Fear regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and entering the home straight.  Furious Fear was vetted  following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left infra spinatus and deltoid, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Furious Fear with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Punshon pleaded guilty to the charge, Furious Fear was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Rosie's Gift and Sally's Cookie collided approaching the first turn checking Rosie's Gift. Heineken Girl and Razzle Oak collided approaching the first turn checking Heineken Girl. Sally's Cookie faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off. King Of Sunshine and Golden Blaze collided in the home straight checking Spring Alis.

Sally's Cookie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound and quadriceps injury to the right hind leg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr B. Buckingham, the trainer of Cosmic Bay regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Cosmic Bay last raced on 13/10/2016. Mr. Buckingham stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a back injury and extended spell . Pursuant to GAR 77A, Cosmic Bay trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 28.9kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was22.44, the greyhound won by a margin of 4L. Cosmic Bay was cleared.

Satisfactory Weight Trial (Solo) - Kentucky Sun trialled over the 390m from box1, weight 33.1kg. The time of the trial was 22.64, Kentucky Sun was cleared.
