Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. M Lowe, the trainer of Izgrev regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Izgrev last raced on 31st January, 2017 and is returning to racing after a change of kennel. Mr. Lowe declared a new weight of 33.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Izgrev last raced at 35.0kgs.
Eat My Shorts was quick to begin. Major Blast was slow to begin. Galo's Best crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Jack's Alouette, Bloke's Advice and Major Blast. Ottis Bale checked off Izgrev approaching the first turn. Ottis Bale clipped the heels of Izgrev approaching the home turn. Eat My Shorts and Galo's Best collided in the home straight and approaching the winning post. Bloke's Advice tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Following the event judges inadvertently changed the race number on the semaphore board from Race 4 to Race 5 and the diatance from 400m to p2p (post to post). This was corrected before the all clear was given.
