Dodger's Beauty was quick to begin. Big Tilly was very slow to begin (7L). Don One checked off Little Big Chief approaching the first turn. Dodger's Beauty checked off Ben's Talon on the first turn checking Dee Mini Mouse, Don One and Teggernaut, Teggernaut raced wide as a result. Dee Mini Mouse and Don One raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Dodger's Beauty checked off Pippa's Pride in the home straight. Pippa's Pride checked off Little Big Chief in the home straight.

Parie Shiraz, Sidey and Riverdale Cocky were slow to begin. Riverdale Cocky checked off Sidey soon after the start and raced wide approaching the first turn. Chesca and Zenstar collided approaching the first turn checking Zenstar. It Is Done checked off Rupcy approaching the first turn. Parie Shiraz checked off Sidey on the first turn. Parie Shiraz and Riverdale Cocky raced wide on the home turn.

Riverdale Cocky was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M Lowe, the trainer of Izgrev regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Izgrev last raced on 31st January, 2017 and is returning to racing after a change of kennel. Mr. Lowe declared a new weight of 33.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Izgrev last raced at 35.0kgs. 

Eat My Shorts was quick to begin. Major Blast was slow to begin. Galo's Best crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Jack's Alouette, Bloke's Advice and Major Blast. Ottis Bale checked off Izgrev approaching the first turn. Ottis Bale clipped the heels of Izgrev approaching the home turn. Eat My Shorts and Galo's Best collided in the home straight and approaching the winning post. Bloke's Advice tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Following the event judges inadvertently changed the race number on the semaphore board from Race 4 to Race 5 and the diatance from 400m to p2p (post to post). This was corrected before the all clear was given.

Maximum Joan and Good Boloney were slow to begin. Zelemar Jim checked off Like A Bailey soon after the start. Divino checked off Chopstick Walrus approaching the first turn. Storm Search, Chopstick Walrus and Like A Bailey collided on the first turn checking Chopstick Walrus and Like A Bailey. Zelemar Jim checked off Divino approaching the home turn. Like A Bailey checked off Chopstick Walrus approaching the home turn. Chopstick Walrus checked off Maximum Joan on the home turn. Divino and Like A Bailey collided on the home turn checking Like A Bailey. Good Boloney and Maximum Joan raced wide in the home straight.

Allen Jabez last raced on 28th October, 2016 and is returning to racing after a change of kennel. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Allen Jabez trialled over the 400m from box 3, weight 31.7kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.82, the greyhound won by a margin of 0.75L. Allen Jabez was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. F Bahor, the trainer of All Black regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. All Black last raced on 14th July, 2016 and is returning to racing after a season and a hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, All Black trialled over the 400m from box 5, weight 25.4kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.82, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 11L. All Black was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Dyna Gary trialled over the 460m from box 1, weight 30.5kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.01, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.5L. Dyna Gary was Cleared.
