Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Stephen Elsum, the trainer of Mepunga Diego, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mepunga Diego last raced on 5th January 2017. Mr Elsum stated that the greyhound had been recovering from a right hock injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Billy Ago Go.
Le Freak, Storm Train, Billy Ago Go and Mepunga Diego were slow to begin.
Storm Train checked off Magic Spider soon after the start. Magic Spider checked off Magic Muzza approaching the first turn. Le Freak and Elite Cheeky collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.
