Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Dynamic Deano.
Iggy Wiggy was quick to begin. Sunset Queen was slow to begin.
Dynamic Deano, Soon Now and Sunset Queen collided on the first turn, checking Soon Now and Dynamic Deano. Sunset Queen and Westcoast Boy collided approaching the home turn. Dashing Max eased on the home turn and collided with Iggy Wiggy. Dashing Max and Iggy Wiggy collided entering the home straight.
Dashing Max was vetted and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Dennis Brown, the trainer of the greyhound Dashing Max, regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Dashing Max with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Brown pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dashing Max was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
