Benson and Orange Blossom were slow to begin.
Benson checked off Da Mishka approaching the first turn. Da Mishka contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground, checking Benson as a result. Jax Mikado and Riverside Mons collided on the first turn. Orange Blossom clipped the heels of Pacific Impulse entering the home straight.
Benson was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.
