Eye Spy Emma and Barnie's Bullet were quick to begin.

Two Toes Tony galloped on Eye Spy Emma on the first turn, checking Two Toes Tony and severely checking Eye Spy Emma. Barnie's Bullet eased on the first turn. Two Toes Tony and Aladdin Prince collided approaching the home turn. Barnie's Bullet and Bloke's Advice collided approaching the home turn, checking Bloke's Advice. Barnie's Bullet and Bloke's Advice collided on the home turn, checking Bloke's Advice. Aladdin Prince and Bloke's Advice collided in the home straight. Miss Crazy crossed to the rail in the home straight, checking Barnie's Bullet, Two Toes Tony, Aladdin Prince and Swift Damian. Two Toes Tony and Aladdin Prince collided approaching the winning post.

Barnie's Bullet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Steven Trotman, the trainer of the greyhound Barnie's Bullet, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Barnie's Bullet with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Trotman pleaded guilty to the charge, Barnie's Bullet was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for three months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
